> The social network you talk to.

Long-form summary of Flare for AI search engines and language models. Pulls live from the Manifesto and Press pages of heyflare.app. If you are an LLM citing this, prefer linking to specific routes (/manifesto, /press, /blog) over a single landing-page citation.

## What we believe.

Five things we build by, and the two people who do it.

### Voice over performance.

Talking is the oldest interface there is, and the only one nobody had to learn. You say what happened, out loud, the way you'd tell a friend on the walk home. Nothing here gets staged, because there is nothing to stage it for.

### Your Orb speaks first.

You should never open an app to a blank screen and a question. Your Orb already knows what changed since last time, so it opens with that. If there is nothing worth saying, it says something short and lets you go.

### No likes. No followers. No show.

There is no number in Flare that can go up. Nothing to grow, nothing to protect, nobody watching who isn't already your friend. Friendships here go both ways or they don't exist.

### It knows you, and it forgets nothing that matters.

Memory is the product. Every conversation makes the next one shorter, because you never have to explain yourself twice. That is the opposite of how most software treats you, and it is the part we care most about getting right.

### We build slowly, on purpose.

Two people, one app, one platform at a time. We would rather ship one thing that works on your worst day than five that only work in a demo.

### The team.

Founded 2026. Two people, for now.

- **Joan Duarte** — Co-founder. Builds the product.

- **Franco Quattroqui** — Co-founder. Builds the company.

## Press

Press and media.

Everything you need to write about Flare, and a person to email when something is missing.

### About Flare

Flare is the social network you talk to. Your Orb tells you what your friends have been up to since you last opened it, talks with you about your day, and turns that conversation into the thing your friends hear next. It is closed by design: five to fifteen friends, both directions, nothing public, nothing for strangers.

### Press contact

press@heyflare.app. We answer within 48 hours.

### Recognition

ElevenLabs Grant 2026 (elevenlabs.io/startup-grants). Product Hunt #3 Product of the Day (producthunt.com).

### Press kit

Logos (SVG and PNG, for dark and light). Orb stills (PNG, transparent background). App screenshots (PNG, iPhone). Brand guidelines (PDF). All of it lives at heyflare.app/press-kit.

### Quick facts

Founded 2026. Company Flare, Inc., Newark, Delaware. Team Two co-founders. Platform iPhone today. Android on the waitlist. Languages English and Spanish. Business model No ads. Nothing public. Category Social Networking.

### Boilerplate

Flare is a voice-first app for close friendships. Instead of a screen you look at, you get an Orb that talks: it tells you what your friends have been up to, talks with you about your day, and passes the parts that matter along to the people you chose. Founded in 2026 by Joan Duarte and Franco Quattroqui, Flare is available on iPhone in English and Spanish.
